FRACTURE
(2025)

The Project
A generative art project that integrates artificial intelligence, marking the first time I've deeply embedded AI into my creative workflow. With this project, I continue my personal exploration into what it means to exist within the digital world. I’ve always been fascinated by how we shape our identities online, and through FRACTURE, I aim to represent this complex idea through abstracted portraits.
Each piece in the FRACTURE project is created using a carefully structured, multi-step process that blends human creativity with machine interpretation. My intention is to highlight the interaction between myself and technology (computers and AI). By bringing together generative techniques and AI, I'm exploring new ways of creating art that reflect both emotional depth and technical innovation.
FRACTURE is inspired by digital phenomenology—the study of how we experience our lives in the digital era. The artworks depict fragmented portraits, mirroring the way we fragment our own identities across various digital platforms. Through these abstractions, I invite viewers to reflect and open a dialogue about the tension between genuine identity and the carefully constructed personas we share with the world.
Creative Process
FRACTURE unfolds in three distinct layers: composition, color and brush strokes, and AI rendering. Each layer has its own technical development and complexities, contributing a unique element to the final artwork as the abstracted portraits take shape. Through this process, each artwork is both structured and unpredictable, shaped by the interplay between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
First Layer - Composition
Establishes the foundational composition by generating a distorted grid, which serves as the structural backbone of the artwork. Voronoi polygons and Delaunay triangulations are then introduced, creating a dynamic interplay of fragmented shapes and spatial divisions.
Second Layer - Shapes and Color
Builds upon the foundational composition by introducing color and algorithmically generated brush strokes. Colors are selected and distributed across the composition, enhancing contrast and depth. Algorithmic strokes are then applied, mimicking organic textures and gestural movement, filling and shaping the fragmented elements calculated in the previous layer.
Third Layer - AI generation
Integrates AI to refine and enhance the final artwork. The AI model is trained using generative outputs, allowing it to understand the relationships between the structural grids, the application of strokes and colors, and the resulting compositions.
Once trained, the model is fed with curated outputs selected by the artist, ensuring a balance between machine learning-driven interpretation and artistic intent.
This final stage introduces organic textures and controlled artistic freedom, where the AI applies nuanced refinements while adhering to predefined constraints. The result is a synthesis of structured generative logic and expressive, almost painterly digital abstraction.

The Artworks in Fracture
FRACTURE consists of 15 unique artworks curated by the artist, each representing a fragment of the broader exploration into digital identity and emotional presence in virtual spaces. Though each piece stands on its own, together they form a cohesive body of work that reflects the tension, vulnerability, and complexity of constructing the self in an increasingly disembodied world.
